Passion was his tool for each performance on every stage he stood. Hamish Matthews, a coastal boy from Perth, Western Australia began his journey in the midst of high school at one of Perth’s finest Arts College: John Curtin College of Arts. In the Gifted and Talented Drama program he began to flourish. Whilst learning and developing his practical and theory work Hamish was immediately swung into the main role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and later went onto support in Ubu Roi and The Betrayal. Receiving consistent marks of excellence, he went on be cast in Myles Pollard’s Project CAI as one of only 5 main cast members. Before his teenage years Hamish performed on stage at the age of 10 singing I Haven’t Met You Yet and Moondance at the Fly by Night club in Fremantle and played piano, guitar and clarinet for JCCA Wind Ochestra. Hamish Matthews is still today striving forward in the arts and continues to explore a world of power, performance, and pride.
