Jesse Vakatini

A passionate, versatile and driven professional - Jesse began his journey in the arts at an early age. He is a Western Australian-raised, down-to-earth actor who is currently completing his Bachelor of Creative Arts at Curtin University, majoring in theatre. Jesse had his professional debut in Black Swan State Theatre Company's MEDEA in 2019. Since then, he has worked closely with WA Youth Theatre Company where has performed in their Fringe show Body Rights (2020) and Perth festival shows Beside (2021) & Body Of Knowledge (2022). Since attending Curtin, Jesse has performed in their major productions of When The Rain Stops Falling (2023), The Persians (2023) and Potluck For Penance (2024). Jesse has also had experience on screen, including short films such as Private Eye (2021), The Lake (2023), Self-Preservation (2024), Where's My Hug (2024), Drug Money (2024), Django (2024), and a to be released feature film Manna (2025). He also created award-winning videos I Am Me (2020) and Finding Home (2021), for WAYTCo's Loungeroom Project. Jesse began his amateur career in directing through WAYTCos 24 Hour Play Generator where he assistant-directed alongside Grace Chow (2021) and Cezera Critti-Schnaars (2023). Jesse is currently assistant directing Xavier Hazard’s ALL BOYS (2024).
